Sidharth Malhotra is reportedly having a blast holidaying in New Zealand. He was received with a warm welcome on landing at Christchurch (Canterbury), met the country’s Prime Minister, John Key, and even got to play the gentlemen’s game with former New Zealand cricketers Stephen Fleming and Brendon McCullum .
A source says, “On the first day of his visit, the actor visited various scenic spots, including Annandale — a collection of villas set against a picturesque backdrop. He even met Stephen and Brendon and played a game of cricket with them.” The source further adds, “The three were also seen bonding over a hearty lunch after the match.”
Ask him how it was to play with the cricketers, and Sidharth says, “It has always been exciting to watch India and New Zealand play a match. It’s a huge honour to have shared the pitch with Stephen and Brendon. We played at the Hagley Oval, which is one of the most picturesque cricket grounds in the world.” The actor adds that pictures can’t do justice to the magnificence of the villas at Annandale. “I feel like I am in paradise,” he says.
The actor will next be seen in tentatively tilted Bang Bang Reloaded co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez.
