Salman Khan made a commitment to Preity Zinta. And proving his filmi one-liner true, he hasn’t gone back on his word. Almost a year ago, actor-turned-producer Preity had approached Salman to make a special appearance in Ishkq In Paris, her first home production, that is being directed by Prem Raj. Salman promptly agreed.

Now it turns out, Salman’s appearance will come in the form of a dance number where he plays himself.

“When Sajid-Wajid composed the song, Preity first thought of Salman. He agreed to take time out for it. But later, when the time to shoot the song arrived, Salman got caught up with the promotions for his last release, Ek Tha Tiger (ETT). As a result, everyone was unsure whether he would be able to do it,” says a source. “But he had told Preity that come what may, he would be present for the shoot.” And so he was.

Amidst the frenzy of ETT’s promotions, Salman took four days off to shoot for the song, Kudiye di kurti. The number is played during the protagonist Rhehan Malliek’s friend’s wedding, where he is the celebrity who makes a special appearance.

Ask Preity about this and she says, “I love Salman for being part of my first film as a producer. First experiences are always the most memorable and special ones. And he has rocked it by looking so handsome and super hot. I just want to say: ‘Thank you and I love you Salman’.”

Bhushan Kumar, chairman and MD of T-Series adds, “No one could do it better than Salman. He is a complete rock star in the number.”

Actor donates Rs 5 lakh to charity

His philanthropic side is well-known, largely due to the work he does through his charitable organisation, Being Human Foundation (BHF), which focuses primarily on education and healthcare. Now, Salman Khan has taken his association with the cause of education a step further by donating R5 lakh to an education magazine. BHF has donated the money to the magazine called Study World —Your Right To Education that is published in Delhi, but is circulated all over India. It is given to lesser-privileged students for free. "It helps students who don’t belong to the privileged class make informed career choices. That’s impressed Salman," says a source. If things go well, Being Human might help out the magazine every year.

While Salman couldn’t be reached for a comment, the magazine has thanked the actor on the microblogging site, Twitter: @BeingSalmanKhan Dear Sir, thanks for your support and help. We shall strive to help as many students as possible. Regards (sic).
