He’s been getting rave reviews for his performance in the recently released comedy, Go Goa Gone. But not many know that it was Kunal Khemu who first brought the film’s script to producer-actor Saif Ali Khan.

What’s also interesting to note is that Saif has instructed sister Soha and her boyfriend Kunal to be on the lookout for more interesting scripts.

“Generally, Soha and Kunal keep meeting young and upcoming directors and writers. We are always excited to work with such talent through our production house (Illuminati Films). So I keep telling them that if they come across interesting stuff, they should send it my way. I generally don’t get time to even talk to such interesting people (directors and writers),” says Saif, who is set to work with Go Goa Gone director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK again, but this time the film will be a romantic comedy, not featuring the undead.

Ask Saif if he discusses work with his family, including mother Sharmila Tagore, and he says, “Not really. All the actors have different outlooks towards life and movies. The choices we make and the films we do are diametrically different. Since we think differently, we are always drawn to certain subjects that others might not be attracted to. There is a huge difference in the way Soha, my mother or I think,” says Saif.

After Go Goa Gone, Saif is also set to start work on Kabir Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala’s untitled next. In the meantime, he is wrapping up Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullett Raja. “It’s one of the most exciting phases for me as an actor,” says the actor.
