Son Of Sardaar makers are out with the theatrical trailer of the film (we wonder why), featuring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt. SOS revolves around two warring Sardaar families and is the remake of Telugu film Maryada Ramanna.

The trailer begins with Ajay Devgn's monologue: "Kabhi kabhi mere dil mein sawaal aata hai, ki agar duniya mein Sardaar na hote toh kya hota." You would think, the makers are aping the famous Kabhi Kabhi dialogue. Then he continues with: "Sorry yaar duniya bekaar bina Son Of Sardaar." This at least gives you a warning of what to expect next!

The disappointing trailer becomes unbearable with not-so-funny dialogues by Devgn. There are a few fight sequences as well, like one where Sanjay Dutt holds a guy upside-down and smashes half of him inside the ground (literally).

The ladies of the film- Sonakshi Sinha and Juhi Chawla- do nothing to save the trailer.

More on the film

Devgn will romance Sinha for the first time, who will once again be seen in an Indian get-up. The film is directed by Ashwani Dhir.

Salman Khan has also apparently agreed to do an item number in the film for Ajay Devgn and that too for free. The Dabangg star was reportedly signed on as he was most suited for the number. The song will be shot in a studio in Mumbai, where a special set will be built.

SOS is slated for November 13, 2012 release. It will clash with Yash Chopra's untitled comeback movie starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

Ajay, however, is unperturbed by the competition, saying there's space for two films on the big Diwali weekend. "Diwali's been lucky for me with films like Golmaal Returns (2008), All The Best (2009) and Golmaal 3. Rascals (2011), that released last Dussera, had a vulgar streak, I'll never do a film like that again. I don't know about their (YRF's) film, but SOS is a comic love story with lots of action, a perfect festival film."

We hope the film is not as boring as the trailer!
