Vikas Bahl, who, along with Anurag Kashyap and director Vikramaditya Motwani is co-producing Lootera, admits that the Ranveer Singh-Sonakshi Sinha starrer is partly inspired by American author O Henry’s short story The Last Leaf.

“Even though 70 per cent of the film is fictional, we give credit to O Henry,” says Vikas, who has just wrapped up a long schedule in Kolkata and will be flying out to Dalhousie for the next in five days.

They had planned to shoot in Dalhousie earlier, but heavy snowfall temporarily stalled their plans. Says Vikas, “There were storms everyday and almost nine feet of snow on the ground. But hopefully by next week, the weather will be better.”
