Dabangg girl, Sonakshi Sinha's Bengal connection is on a roll, earlier, she shot major portions of Lootera at beautiful locations of Kolkata with co-star Ranveer Singh and now she is back in the city to promote her film.
She may not have been able to visit her father's native place Bihar yet, but her tryst with Bengal continues. Sonakshi Sinha says her father Shatrughan Sinha is very happy with the promotional trailer of her forthcoming film, Lootera, and that he is eager to watch the movie. After shooting at picturesque locations on the outskirts of Kolkata with Ranveer and the crew of Lootera, the, Dabangg, girl this came here to promote their upcoming film which is set to release on the July 5.
Lootera is the story of a conman played by Ranveer. Set in the 1950s in rural Bengal, the romantic drama directed by Vikramaditya Motwane is loosely based on O' Henry's short story, The Last Leaf. Set in the 1950s, Ranveer will see playing an archaeologist.
"It was very interesting to do a period film because a new world is created. I had no clue about 1950s, so to live a character who is living in that era, was very interesting", said Ranveer. My film is releasing after a very long time, it's been 19 months when my last film was released. It's been a long wait. I have seen the film and I am very happy. I am very excited and can't wait people to see it," said the 27-year-old who made his debut with blockbuster, Band Bajaa Baaraat, in 2010.
The film Lootera starring Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha is a period romantic drama based in the 50's. The movie is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Behl.
