Sonam Kapoor takes her mother to Israel

The Bollywood actor, who had visited the country for work, decided to extend her trip to spend time with her mother.

Last week, Sonam Kapoor travelled to Israel for a magazine shoot. And her mother, Sunita Kapoor, also accompanied her. A source close to the actor says that after she finished her work commitments, Sonam decided to extend the trip. “Sonam was shooting in Jerusalem. After wrapping up her work, she decided to spend some more days in the country to spend time with her mum. They went for sightseeing. Usually, Sunita never accompanies Sonam for her shoots, but since she did this time, Sonam wanted to make the trip special for her,” says the source.

Apart from exploring Jerusalem, they also visited the Great Syria-African Rift and the Dead Sea, among other places. The source says that it was a much-needed break for the Bollywood actor. “Sonam hadn’t taken a break after Neerja, which was preceded by the completion and promotion of her last year’s hit, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. She went to the Cannes Film Festival, but that was also for work. So, it was a much-needed trip for her,” adds the source.

Sonam and Sunita are likely to return to Mumbai today (June 1).
