Sooraj Pancholi is set to face the camera in the Salman Khan and Subhash Ghai-produced remake of Jackie Shroff-starrer, Hero.

Aditya Pancholi’s son, Sooraj, who was embroiled in a major legal row following the Jiah Khan suicide in June 2013, has not allowed the case proceedings to delay the schedule of his debut film. His launch movie — a remake of Subhash Ghai’s Hero (1983), which is being produced by Salman Khan — will release, as planned, in January 2015. It will also mark the debut of Suniel Shetty’s daughter, Athiya.

Confirming the news, Aditya says, “The film is almost complete. Only a song needs to be shot. They (the makers) are planning to release it in January 2015.”

Incidentally, Sooraj was in the middle of preparing for his role when he was drawn into the legal tussle. But despite the developments and the scrutiny, he concentrated on his workouts, and continued to train to get into the skin of the character.

Aditya, meanwhile, is confident that his son’s career will not be hampered by any further proceedings in the case. When asked if he is planning to work with his son soon, Aditya said: “Not now, maybe later.”
