Are they back together as a couple or is it still splitsvilla for cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma? A new picture of the couple, reportedly clicked after Anushka joined Virat and his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates for a party at a restaurant, has rekindled rumours that the two may just be back together again.

The picture, which has Anushka and Virat posing with the chefs of EDO, a popular Japanese restaurant in Bangalore, started doing the rounds on Thursday afternoon. According to a report in English daily Deccan Chronicle, Anushka joined Virat and his RCB boys to celebrate the team’s victory over Gujarat Lions in an IPL match on May 14.

While neither of them commented on the split, Anushka unfollowed Virat on social media soon after the split in January. Those in the know said the couple ended their two-year relationship on a bitter note, though there were no official confirmation.

The buzz of Virat and Anushka getting together again started building after the cricketer defended Anushka in the face of trolling after India’s stellar performance at the T20 World Cup. While social media suggested Virat’s excellent form on-field was a result of his split with Anushka, the cricketer himself was upset because of the trolling. He posted on Twitter that Anushka has “always” affected him positively and people should be ashamed of their posts and tweets.

Following the post, the duo was seen together in April. They were clicked at a high-end restaurant in Bandra, Mumbai, and people were quick to dub it as a ‘dinner date’. However, the two left in different cars.

Hindustan Times could not independently verify the report.
