Many Bollywood actors are now coming up with unique and tech-forward ways to connect with their fans. While many Hollywood celebrities have their own apps and selection of emojis, our actors aren’t far behind. With actors like Salman Khan, Alia Bhat, Disha Patani and more getting on the digital bandwagon, they are now just a ‘touch’ away. Here is a sneak peek into some such celeb apps:
In a first-of-its-kind move for an Indian actor, Alia is now a character in a live stimulation mobile game. Launched on March 22, the game features her as the player’s best friend who guides them to rise in their career in the film industry. Players can choose a male or a female avatar and even play in Hindi. The game has many interactive activities like dancing, wearing designer clothes, getting photo shoots by top photographers, giving interviews and many more. The game has 4.4 star rating on Google Play.
The actor launched her own app, called the Disha Patani Official App, to interact directly with her fans. The app was launched on March 22 and Disha has already started running contests on it. With features like live broadcasts, event tickets, built-in playlists and more, the app brings her fans one step closer. The app has a 4.8 star rating on Google Play.
The actor launched his app, BeingInTouch, on his 51st birthday (December 26) last year. The actor took to Twitter to upload a video, announcing the release. He said, “Swaagat mat karo aap humaara, hum aapka swaagat karte hain. Welcome to BeingInTouch.”
The app provides an insight into the actor’s life, from his workout routine to favourite food. It even has a jobs tab for his humanitarian venture, Being Human. Registered users also get to avail discounts from various brands featured in the app. The app has a 4.9 star rating on Google Play.
After launching her official app in April 2016, Sonam Kapoor became the first Indian celebrity to have her own range of emoticons. The app features live streams where users can chat with the actor. Along with fashion and style tips, the app also offers details on Sonam’s fitness and nutrition routine. The app has a 4.6 star rating on Google Play.
In a video uploaded on her Instagram account before the launch, she said, “This app is going to be your personal channel into my world. Here, you will get access to photos, videos, behind the scenes, sneak peeks...Make sure you create an account to be a part of my tribe and don’t forget to leave me a message once you are in.”
Launched in November last year, the Sunny Leone Official app is a one-stop shop for all her fans who can directly interact with her and meet her. Users can take part in contests and win prizes like event tickets and a chance to meet her. Not only this, she also has a line of emoticons available on a separate chat app. The app has a 4.6 star rating on Google Play. Amy Jackson Official App
She launched her official app this month, and has features such as in-app social feed, push notifications, featured videos, superstar posts, contests, superfan badges, wallpapers, ringtones and live broadcast. Amy took to Instagram to announce the launch and wrote, “My official app is here! Come and be a part of my world,” The app has a 4.6 star rating on Google Play.
Kajal Aggarwal Official App
On Saturday, actor Kajal Aggarwal became the latest celebrity to launch her own app. Users will get access to content like wallpapers, videos, ring tones and live streams.
She posted a message from the launch on Instagram: “I am thrilled to launch my own app which will provide an unparalleled experience to my fans. There are lots of exciting features and through this app, my aim is to bridge the gap and solidify my relationship with my audience. All mediums of social media that I’m present on, will be clubbed together on this one platform and I am looking forward to a personal interaction with my fans who are my extended family.” The app has a 4.9 star rating on Google Play.
Filmmaker and choreographer Remo D’Souza launched his official app in January this year. The app runs contests, winners of which get prizes like choreography lessons from Remo and his gang, video calls with Remo, a chance to feature in his films and more. It also runs live updates from all his social media accounts, integrated on one platform. The app has a 4.8 star rating on Google Play.
