Sudhir Mishra's next, Inkaar, deals with the subject of sexual harassment at workplaces, focusing especially on the advertisement industry. To maintain authenticity, the makers shot extensively in the offices of two ad agencies - Leo Burnett and Grey Worldwide - in the city. But now, we're told that the agencies have requested the makers to not give them any sort of branding in the film's final credits as the subject shows the industry in bad light.

Ad agencies don’t want credit

City offices where Sudhir Mishra shot for his film that deals with sexual harassment at the workplace refuse to take location credit Sudhir Mishra’s next project, Inkaar, seems to be running into one controversy after another. The Chitrangda Singh-Arjun Rampal starrer, which is based on the advertising industry, was shot at two prominent ad agencies’ offices in the city. However, an insider says that these agencies do not want any mention in the film’s credits.

The source says that as a policy, every filmmaker puts in a thank you slate at the end of the film to show gratitude to those who helped during filming. “Sudhir was going to do just that and give Leo Burnett and Grey Worldwide location courtesy. But both the agencies requested him  not to do so as they did not want to be associated with the film. They are afraid that it might backfire.”

The source further adds that the main worry was that the agencies thought that if they were given the due credit, people would assume that what’s shown in the film actually happens in their offices. They (companies) fear that any reference made towards them would mean that their agency is somehow directly or indirectly linked to the film. This would imply that relationships such as these are commonplace at their offices.”

Inkaar deals with the issue of sexual harassment at work. The film has also been under a lot of focus lately, for its bold scenes and explicit dialogues.
