Sultan crosses Rs 300 cr mark, YRF to honour Indian athletes who win gold in Rio

Salman Khan’s last release Sultan has crossed the Rs 300 crore mark to become the second film to do so after Aamir Khan’s PK. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the film’s collection.

In an inspiring gesture, Yash Raj Films (YRF), the makers of Sultan, has said it will honour Indian athletes who win gold at the Rio Olympics with Rs 10 lakh.

YRF’s entertaining film Sultan is about a struggling athlete. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra, it stars superstar Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma.

The romantic sports-drama film, which released in July, tells the story of a middle-aged wrestling champion who tries to make a comeback to represent India at the Olympics.
