It is the third highest opening weekend grosser of the year after Jai Ho (Rs 58.50 crore) and Gunday (Rs 43 crore).
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#RaginiMMS2 Fri 8.43 cr, Sat 7.29 cr, Sun 8.78 cr. Total: Rs 24.5 cr nett. India biz."
Sunny Leone is happy that her hard work has translated into moolah. She tweeted, "I think I will be praying to every god in every religion that @RaginiMMS_2 keeps going strong today!"
Her Baby Doll is also winning hearts, even outside India. "High light of the day was a beautiful Nepali girl following us in the streets&then singing "Baby Doll" 2me.It was so darn cute. @RaginiMMS_2," tweeted Leone.
Directed by Bhushan Patel, Ragini MMS 2 is the sequel to Pawan Kripalani's 2011 film. Touted as the first horrorex in Bollywood, the film also stars Parvin Dabas, Sandhya Mridul, Divya Dutta among others.
