Seems like actor Sunny Leone no longer wants sensuality to be her claim to fame. Even though that’s what got her noticed in the first place, she, apparently, now wants to cut down on the amount of skin that she shows on screen.
For this reason, Sunny apparently asked for the promos of her next, Ragini MMS 2, to be toned down. “Although she had no issues with the scenes being in the film, she wanted them not to be the highlight of the promos, since she’s trying to shy away from the ‘bold’ tag,” says an insider close to producer Ekta Kapoor.
However, that is when, we’re told, Ekta put her foot down firmly. “Ekta did not want to deviate from the content of the film. It’s a horror-erotica. And Ekta had to incorporate those scenes (in the promos) to communicate the content aptly. Things didn’t turn out the way Sunny wanted. She (Sunny) might be upset, but has been professional enough to promote the film,” adds the source.
On being contacted, Ekta says, “We are clear about horror and sexuality being the mainstays of the film, and that’s how it will be communicated. She (Sunny) respected our view and prerogatives as producers.”
Ask Sunny about it, and you just get a docile response: “I shot the material originally. I liked the promo. It has got million hits.”
