The actor says that she is looking forward to doing a biopic, wants to play either Indira Gandhi or Sania Mirza on screen.

Taapsee Pannu’s last release Naam Shabana got her rave reviews. However, the actor is clear that she doesn’t want to be stereotyped. After Pink (2016) and Naam Shabana, it was a conscious choice for her to do a film like Judwaa 2, as she wanted to explore the commercial space. “It is a wonderful time to be a female actor. I played the hero in Naam Shabana. But I am also excited about Judwaa 2. Comedy is not really the easiest genre as it is not very easy to make people laugh. But I am looking forward to it,” she says.

Though she hasn’t made any announcements about her projects after Judwaa 2, the actor says that she is looking forward to doing roles that are diametrically opposite to what she has played so far. “I would love to do a biopic. Probably, on Indira Gandhi. Even a biopic on a sportswoman would be great because I am quite passionate about sport. I would love to do a Sania Mirza biopic,” says Taapsee. And what other genres besides this? “A psychological thriller. I would also want to play an antagonist or a character with grey shades. That would be great fun,” the Pink actor says.

On her social media accounts, Taapsee often comes across as someone who speaks her mind on issues that need to be addressed. The actor says that she has always believed in having an opinion. “I have always been bold and brash. My father has often told me that I should have been a lawyer. As a kid and even now, I ask a lot of questions. I am inquisitive as a person and I guess that comes across in the way I deal with people on the set as well,” she says.
