Actor Taapsee Pannu is glad to have worked with an understanding filmmaker like David Dhawan, who supported her during the shoot of Judwaa 2, in London. The director shot her part first so that she could reach Delhi in time for her best friend’s wedding.
“My very close friend from college was getting married in the first week of May, and I had no other option but to make it to his wedding. Thankfully, I had a half day of shooting a day before, so I requested David sir to shoot it in first half, so I could take a flight immediately after that,” shares Taapsee, who will reprise actor Karisma Kapoor’s role in the sequel to 1997 film Judwaa.
“I can’t imagine missing my best friend’s wedding. I’m happy I could make it, and thankful that I’m working with someone like David sir, who understood my situation and allowed me to finish my part a little early than the scheduled time,” adds the actor who got critical acclaim for films such as Pink (2016) and Naam Shabana.
Taapsee, who is co-starring with actors Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez, adds, “It was a great experience and we had an amazing time shooting for the film. I just hope we are able to live up to the expectations of the previous film. It’s not an easy task, but we are giving our best shot.”
