She is just be two films old in Bollywood, but actor Taapsee Pannu says that she does not want to take up the kind of roles that are usually offered to female actors.
"I don’t think I will be satisfied with such roles…where I am in trouble and the hero comes and pulls me out. I don’t want to be a part of such films,” she says.
The 27-year-old, who will next be seen alongside Akshay Kumar in Neeraj Pandey’s film Baby, says that she took up the project because she has a substantial part in the film. "My role is very different from the kind of roles that heroines normally do. It is no different from the hero’s role," says the actor, who has been balancing her projects in Tamil cinema with her Bollywood films.
"It is not difficult to manage. I think the trick is that you have to convince your audience that you are not uprooting yourself from one industry for the other. I won’t ever do that. I want to continue doing movies in different languages," she says.
The actor was last seen in Chashme Baddoor (2013) and says that she was very satisfied with the movie’s performance. "The response was perfect and exactly what I had expected it to be. It was a small film and keeping that in mind, I think it did well," she says.
