Remember Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani? Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone seem to have reversed roles in Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha. The trio unveiled the first trailer of their next film on Tuesday evening with much fanfare. So Ranbir is the sweet-nice guy who needs a break from his routine life and this time Deepika is the saviour.

So the usual hero (Ved, played by Ranbir) whose life revolves around "engineering, job, laughing and crying" meets his partner, Tara (

), who offers him a break from this mundane routine. Not one to tread the normal Bollywood path, Imtiaz makes his lead pair say, "Hum apne bare me jo bhi kahenge, jhooth kahenge aur jhooth k siva kuch nahi kahenge. And what happens in Corsica, stays in Corsica."

But even as Deepika falls in love with the carefree Ranbir, there's trouble brewing. Apparently, she's falling in love with someone who doesn't exist! "Wahi kahani fir ek baar, majnu ne liye kapde faad, maar tamasha beech bazaar," says Ranbir at one point. Were Ranbir and Deepika playing parts in a play (there's a small hint to this towards the end of the trailer) or was Ranbir just taking a break from his mundane life and doesn't really care for Deepika? That we will only discover on November 27 when the film hits theatres.
