What do you expect when two of the most popular action stars — Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor — raid the town? Loads of fun, laughter and of course, action! That’s exactly what happened when the Tevar duo, along with co-star Manoj Bajpayee, the film’s producer Sanjay Kapoor and director Amit Ravindernath Sharma met the winners of the HT City Stars in The City contest over a free-wheeling chat. Excerpts from the event.

Sanjay, what is that one thing that drew you towards Tevar, considering it has been made in other languages earlier?
Sanjay: When Arjun, Boney (Kapoor; co-producer) and I saw the film, we thought it had all the ingredients of a good Hindi film, and Arjun suited the role perfectly. In the new generation, Arjun has got that X-factor needed for action. He looks very believable. So in a home production, we thought let’s give Arjun something that he excels in.

Sonakshi, lessons you learned from the Kapoors and the film?
Why are you opening up a Pandora’s box! (laughs)
Sonakshi: You really want to know! On a serious note, it was a learning curve for all of us. Our director took us dhoond-dhoond ke to places across the country to shoot... Agra, Indore ... the interiors. It’s been a fulfilling experience which brought us all very close.
Arjun: Meri taarif bhi karo! (looking at Sonakshi)
Sonakshi: Nahi kar sakti. Aur himmat nahin rahi! (giggles)

Manoj, who showed the most attitude — tevar — on the sets?
I enjoyed Arjun’s attitude the most. I was working for the first time with him, so I was quite curious about him. He was taking a lot of stress about the production, at the same time working hard on the character.
