To showcase all the National Award winning movies from the year 2012 to the general public, the Directorate of Film Festivals run by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will be screening 38 feature and 19 non-feature films at Siri Fort auditorium as part of the 60th National Film Festival.
The event, which began on June 6, will conclude on June 16th. “This is an annual feature, a public screening of the award winning movies of last year. All these movies have won a National Award in some category or the other,” says Rajeev Kumar Jain, director of the event.
The event, which opened with the screening of the Bengali movie Chitrangada, helmed by late filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh, as a tribute to him, will also feature movies such as Chittagong, Gangs of Wasseypur, Ishaqzaade, Vishwaroopam, Kahaani, Vicky Donor, Talaash, Eega, Paan Singh Tomar, Lessons in Forgetting and OMG — Oh My God.
