Think this movie or that could’ve been made better, or wondering why the top crop of directors are doing what they are? Ask them, one on one, at Cine Bahastalab 2012, which kicks off at the Scope Auditorium near JLN Stadium, Lodhi Road, today.

The two-day event, organised by Mohalla Live in partnership with HT to mark 100 years of Indian Cinema, is bringing under one roof 19 leading directors for an open interaction on the evolution of cinema, its history, the missing elements, the Delhi connection and more. Cine Bahastalab, when literally translated to English, means 'the itch to argue', and the event aims to throw open the house to film buffs who may have different perspectives to share.

The gala, an informal, no-fuss celebration, will include three sessions on each of the two days. Participating filmmakers: Anurag Kashyap, Sudhir Mishra, Dibakar Banerjee, Hansal Mehta, Kamal Swarup, Chandraprakash Diwedi, Neeraj Pandey, Abhishek Sharma, Anusha Rizwi, Swanand Kirkire, Varun Grover, Raj Shekhar, Gaurav Solanki, Uday Prakash, Sanjay Chauhan, Puroshotam Agarwal, Prem Kumar Mani, Ajay Brahmatmaj, Avijeet Ghosh, Om Thanvi, Amit Rai, Raveesh Kumar, Sayyad Afzal, Raghuvendra Singh and Ann Koska.
