Mirzya marks the debut of Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher in Bollywood.

You need to sit straight and take notice when Gulzar announces his return to screenplay writing after a gap of 17 years. His last film as screenwriter was Hu Tu Tu (1999). He has picked up the pen once again for director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya.

From Aks to Rang De Basanti to Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Mehra has developed a narrative technique that moves back and forth in time. Mirzya is likely to be the next in line as it is based on the Mirza-Sahibaan folk tale.
