Even though it took her some time to make a mark in Bollywood, Jacqueline Fernandez is in a happy space now. She recently celebrated her birthday (on August 11), and is looking forward to the release of her film with Akshay Kumar. She is also working on a few other projects. But Jacqueline says that even when she was going through a rough patch in her career, she did not let negative thoughts affect her. “I’ve seen a few flops, and there have been times when I’ve had no work. I feel life throws these things at you, and you’ve got to appreciate them, because then when you have highs, you cherish them,” says Jacqueline.
The actor reveals that her low period has made her so strong that now if any of her films flop, it won’t affect her much. “It’s okay. It doesn’t hit me so hard. It’s about correcting the errors. I think when you keep repeating your mistakes, you need to recheck everything. Also, when it comes to a movie, you can’t solely blame yourself because it’s team work. The success is for everyone to share, and the failure, too, is sometimes for everyone to share,” says the 30-year-old.
Interestingly, Jacqueline, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Riteish Deshmukh in Aladin (2009), and even did a cameo in his recently released film, says that over the years, their friendship has grown stronger. “Riteish is a dad now. A lot, of course, has changed. He’s one of my closest friends. He has always been there for me. I’m looking forward to working with him again,” she says.
