She was all set to be a part of the Dhanush-Sonam Kapoor-starrer Raanjhana. But now, the latest news is that Aditi Rao Hydari has been replaced in the Anand Rai film. Although the makers and Aditi maintain that complications arose due to “dates issues”, the buzz suggests that it was Aditi’s unprofessionalism that cost her the part.

Apparently, a few days ago, the London Paris New York actor didn’t turn up on the sets the day she was expected to. The buzz is that when Rai and producer Krishika Lulla tried to contact her, her phone was switched off. Later, both of them found out that Aditi had given away the same dates to Murder 3. So, the makers — who couldn’t have wasted Dhanush and Sonam’s dates — apparently replaced her with Swara Bhaskar. But officially, the makers cite the dates issues adding everything is fine between them and Aditi. “There were many problems that arose thanks to permission issues and dates, which could not be accommodated with the film’s schedule. So the makers and Aditi had to part ways but they did so very amicably. Much against the rumours that followed, there were no tiffs between the two parties so much so that Aditi even called Krishika Lulla who is the producer of Raanjhana and had a professional chat,” says an insider close to the producers.

When contacted, Lulla maintains, “Yes, Aditi has contacted me and we have cleared all misunderstandings. She has even wished me luck for the project and gave her best wishes for the film.” Aditi, on her part, also says, “there’s absolutely no problem. I have been and am still in direct contact with Anand sir and we will work together soon. I am currently shooting for Murder 3 with Randeep (Hooda) so my dates are with Vishesh Films. I am dying to work with Anand Rai soon.” At the moment, Aditi, who was also seen in Delhi 6 (2009), is busy wrapping up Murder 3.
