A lot of actors have supported the anti-tree cutting campaign in Mumbai’s Aarey Colony to keep the greenery intact. So, when actor Richa Chadha went there to shoot for her film, she made sure that the area is spick and span, post pack up.
The actor was shooting for the sequel of her 2013 film, Fukrey in Aarey Colony’s Chota Kashmir Garden. When she saw the unhygienic condition of the place, she was unhappy and upset with the fact that a lot of trash was being thrown there.
“The crew and I, together decided not to create a mess in the area we were shooting in, as we didn’t wish to spoil the surroundings, which have abundant forestation. We ensured we didn’t use harmful material on sets and even cleaned the sets each day before we packed up,” says Chadha.
According to sources close to the 30-year-old actor, she’s well aware of the fact that a lot of film crews have a reputation of leaving the production area in ruination after they finish shooting. She did not want to set a wrong example, thus, she and the film’s team did their bit with this exemplary gesture.
