Actor Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra will be seen playing three different roles in their forthcoming film, Teri Meri Kahaani that spans three time zones from 1912 to 1960 to 2012. While Shahid says that he connects best to his character, Javed, based in 1912, Priyanka says that she relates most to her role of Aradhana, based in 2012.
In the film, Shahid plays the characters of Javed, Govind and Krissh respectively, while Priyanka will be seen as Radha, Rukhsar and Aradhana. “I relate to the Muslim character, Javed in 1912. There was so much of me in it. Whether it is shayari or playing a lover, he was just the way I am. There is so much of magic in him. Javed is the man every woman would love to meet,” says Shahid, who is acting opposite Priyanka for the second time after their 2009 hit, Kaminey. On the other hand, Priyanka says, “I very much relate to Aradhana. She is the girl of today. Like me, she is very contemporary in her outlook and believes in living her life to the fullest.”
Meanwhile the film’s director, Kunal Kohli claims that the duo’s chemistry would be better than what it was in Kaminey. “In Kaminey, they were together for only eight scenes. In my film, they will be sizzling and will be seen together in 78 scenes,” he says.
