The Box office seems to be the ultimate king of Bollywood as it decides the fate of all the stars every Friday. Actor Akshay Kumar was crowned the undisputed king after Singh Is Kingg in 2008 but ever since then his movies have not set the box office registers ringing, barring Housefull managed do to average business. His latest flops were Action Replayy and Khatta Meetha.

But industry experts predict that Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan will help him bounce back this December. "The promos of the film have been very well received and there is no doubt that the film will have a blockbuster opening," says trade analyst Komal Nahata. Film-maker Farah is adamant, "Akshay will rule the audience heart in this film. His look in the film has already been applauded."

Akshay KumarNext on the list who desperately needs a hit is actor Abhishek Bachchan. Though Junior B took serious offense when ad man Prahlad Kakkar took a pot shot at him recently saying, ‘Abhishek Bachchan has 17 flops in a row and is still going strong. He is unique and should be in the Guinness Book of Records.’ His last super hit film was Dostana in 2008 and after that his work in Paa got recognized but now all his hopes lie on Ashutosh Gowariker’s Khelene Hum Jee Jaan Se. "Abhishek is going to be the real star in this film," says co-actor Sikander Kher.

Hrithik Roshan too is trying hard to get his charm on the big screen with Guzaarish. Keeping his health aside, Duggu is going out of the way to promote his film. The actor who play magician in the film says, "My director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the actual magician. I truly believe his magic will surely work. I have worked really hard for this," says Hrithik, whose last hit was Jodha Akbar (2008). Ever since then Krazzy 4 and Luck By Chance bombed at the box office. As per the expert, "The look of the film is enchanting but the music failed to do the magic," says Nahata.

Last but not the least John Abraham whose last hit was New York in 2009, has high hopes from Vishal Bhardwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf. “The USP of the film is that it’s a Vishal Bhardwaj film, so the expectations are high,” added Nahata.

What the future holds
Akshay Kumar is a No 9 governed by Mars. Farah Khan, too, is also a number 9. So this combo might work in favour of the film.
Abhishek Bachchan’s Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Sey shall get director Ashutosh lot of critical acclaim but commercial success seems dicey.
Hrithik Roshan’s Guzaarish ironically adds to the same numbers as Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black, which got lot of acclaim but was not a money earner.
John Abraham is a No 8 and his film Saat Khoon Maaf adds up to 13 or 4 ruled by Uranus. No great expectations here too!
