With Akshay Kumar’s brand of patriotic cinema that blends social message and entertainment, Toilet Ek Prem Katha impressed all the celebs. Checkout pictures from the Mumbai screening.

The makers of Toilet Ek Prem Katha held special screenings in Mumbai and Delhi before the film hit theatres on Friday. John Abraham, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Madhuri Dixit are in attendance.

With Akshay’s brand of patriotic cinema that blends social message and entertainment, Toilet Ek Prem Katha impressed all the celebrities who attended the screening. Most of them tweeted about the film as well.

Starring Bhumi Pednekar and Akshay Kumar, Toilet Ek Prem Katha is directed by debutant Shree Narayan Singh. The film promotes Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Clean India campaign. Akshay also met PM Modi to talk about the film. Later, the Prime Minister also tweeted about the film.

The movie also features Divyendu Sharma, Sudhir Pandey, Shubha Khote and Anupam Kher.

Toilet Ek Prem Katha is inspired by a real life story of a woman who leaves her husband soon after the wedding when she finds out that his house has no toilet. The husband fights social stigma and family to build a toilet and get his wife to return home.
