After charming fans with the first song of her film, Vidya Balan shared the second song from Tumhari Sulu, Hawa Hawai. The latest number is a reworked version of Shekhar Kapur’s Mr India’s song by the same name that was picturised on Sridevi.

The two-minute video shows montages from Sulu’s (played by Vidya) life where she goes on to conquer various worlds - at home and at work. It also shows the lead stars Vidya, Neha Dhupia and RJ Mallishka dancing their way to the peppy number at a party.

Kavita Krishnamurthy’s unmistakable vocals have been retained. Tanishk Bagchi has recreated and programmed the new version, that has been picturised on Vidya, Neha Dhupia and RJ Malishka.

Talking about the song, Vidya had earlier said, “I am an ardent fan of Sridevi, I was nervous while doing the film. But having said that, we are recreating ‘Hawa Hawai’ song that you guys have seen in Mr India. It is a tribute to her, we are having fun. There is only one Sridevi.”

Tumhari Sulu will see Vidya essay the role of a happy-go-lucky Mumbai housewife whose routine life changes when she unexpectedly lands a job as late night RJ (radio jockey). The film releases worldwide on November 17.
