Tusshar Kapoor’s butt has helped his producer sister Ekta sell their forthcoming film, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum (2012). The actor confirms the news, saying, “Yes, that cheeky shot created a huge buzz and fetched the film a great price. The all-India rights have been bought by Heera Laxmi for Rs 21.60 crore.
The sequence is a hilarious spoof on Dostana (2008), only we couldn’t get hold of yellow briefs like John Abraham’s so we had to make do with blue ones.” Tusshar who’s been working out really hard to get into shape didn’t insist on a closed set for his grand reve(a)lation. “Everybody who needed to be there was present and I wasn’t the slightest bit embarrassed,” he asserts, admitting that many had tried to dissuade him from ruining his ‘good boy’ image.
“What image? I’m an actor playing a character who is out to seduce the woman he fancies. It’s not Tusshar but Adi you’ll be seeing on screen. And it’s not like I’m doing a Full Monty!” The sequel opens on August 2 and Tusshar is gearing up for the promotion. Like actors in the past who have shrugged out of their shirts to show off their six and eight-packs, will he too drop his pants to reveal his toned butt?
“I’ll do anything to ensure my film works but once the publicity is over, I’ll go back to being a good boy. No more exposure then, so enjoy the view while it lasts,” he says, tongue-in-cheek. However, he’s clear he’s not going to lose the muscles he trained so hard to build. He says, “I’ve never looked as lean and fit as I do in the Dostana sequence and even if I need to put on weight for my next film, I’d like to retain this level of fitness.”
