With Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum (KSKHH), gearing up for an August 2 opening, Tusshar Kapoor is all set to do a Dostana in a reel-life attempt to woo his ladylove in the movie. “She’s growing distant and it’s worrying him. So, urged on by Riteish (Deshmukh), I get into a pair of yellow trunks, à la John Abraham, and come out of the ocean flexing my muscles,” chuckles Tusshar.

In this sequel to the 2005 comedy Kyaa Kool Hain Hum, Tusshar plays a small-time model and a Bollywood aspirant who uses his acting abilities to get his way in his love life. “Since I’m a struggling actor in the Super Kool sequel, I get to experiment with different get-ups and spoofs from some much-loved blockbusters. There’s even a scene where I presume my girlfriend to be a lesbian because she’s not responding to me,” he says, adding, “KSKHH is a naughty sex comedy that will have you rolling in the aisles.”

Tusshar Kapoor points out that in this age of remakes and remixes it has become fashionable to do spoofs on earlier hits. “So many have done a takeoff on my dad (Jeetendra) and his south style ’80s movies. We did one in The Dirty Picture (2011) too. Imitation is the best form of flattery,” reasons the actor who will be spoofing some blockbusters in his upcoming movie Kya Super Kool Hain Hum (KSKHH).

Besides a Dostana, Tusshar also does a Bajirao Chingam on Ajay Devgan’s Singham. “My character is a struggling actor and when he goes to audition for an action movie to be produced and directed by Anupam Kher, we decided there was no better film to takeoff on than Singham that busted the box-office last year,” argues Tusshar who could be doing his Chingham act with a ‘shlok’ playing in the background.

That’s not all. The director of Singham and the Golmaal series, Rohit Shetty has been roped in for a cameo in the sequel. Tusshar’s character bumps into him at a party and, angling for a role in the next Golmaal movie, does a ‘gunga’ on him. “I can’t believe I will be spoofing one of my own characters, the deaf-mute Lucky, Aai yo,” Tusshar laughs.

Tusshar whose squeaky-clean image makes him an aberrant in a sex comedy admits that he’s been naughty in real life too. “I knew all those Benaifer-Nilofer and DK Bose jokes. In fact, Sachin used the DK Bose in Kya Super Kool Hain Hum when Raj Zutshi’s character was told not to write his name backwards,” he admits.

Quiz him in whether he was ever caught in a compromising position and he says “never” but confides that once, sister Ekta Kapoor caught him watching porn. “It was back in ’89 when I was in the eighth standard. We had a video room in the old house that would be deserted in the afternoon. My friends and I were watching an X-rated movie and Ekta who was taking tuitions with a friend down the hall wandered in. Her friend was so embarrassed, she started bawling,” he laughs.

Later, he caught her watching The Accused (1988) with her girlfriends in the same video room. He repaid Ekta by not telling on her to his parents. He smiles, “Now, years later, we are together making a movie that is adult and fun.”
