“Varun loves animals, especially dogs. He was really happy when he learnt that he will shoot with a British Bulldog in the film,” says a source close to the actor.

Although the makers of the film weren’t sure about how comfortable Varun will be with the idea of shooting with a dog, they were surprised to see his comfort with the animal on the sets. “Not many Bollywood actors are comfortable with the idea of working with animals, but Varun enjoys it,” says the insider.

When contacted, Varun confirmed the news, and said, “I’m very fond of dogs. In fact, when was 10, I had adopted a stray dog. Interestingly, there’s a British Bulldog in my building as well. They are quite different from other dogs (they are more aggressive), but I became friendly with it in no time. The fact that I bonded with the dog helped complete the shoot smoothly.”
