Veer girl Zarine Khan is all set to boogie. She will be seen in a glamourous dance number with her first co-star Salman Khan in Ready, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Rajat Rawail. Although it was suggested that Zarine had only “a small appearance” in Sallu’s film, the actor informs that she has a dance number too. And if reports are to be believed, it was Salman who wanted Ready’s makers to rope her in for the special number and cameo.

“Yes, I have shot for a full-on dance number with Salman over three days in Bangkok clubs. It was fun to shake a leg with him because he is completely chilled-out,” says Zarine.

Zarine KhanFor Zarine, the dance number "has been special after playing a quiet and sedate character in Veer". Mudassar Khan and Raju Khan have choreographed the song. The actor has also been in the news recently for Partner 2 and rumours suggest she will be spotted in the 2007 hit’s sequel. "Salman once told me, ‘whenever we start Partner 2, we would work together’. But nothing is finalised because the script isn’t ready. And you never know whom they will end up casting," she says.

But isn’t Sonakshi Sinha’s name too doing the rounds for Partner 2? “Maybe the makers are thinking about casting two or three heroines,” laughs Zarine.

On the topic of ‘friend’ Salman, Zarine says he has been a guide in her career. “I know he is always available to give the right advice. Whenever I get stuck or am confused about something, I know he will bail me out,” says Zarine.

After last year’s dud, Zarine hasn’t been spotted in any film. But the actor, famously billed as the Katrina Kaif look-alike, insists she got several offers. “But I did not want to do any film and regret it later,” she points out. “After all, I don’t have an influential father or a film background. So I’ve been a little extra careful while choosing films,” she says. Zarine also feels making a big debut raised people’s expectations from her, which in turn, backfired.
