Vidya Balan won’t ask hubby for a film with Shah Rukh

To the outside world, she might seem like the beloved wife of one of Bollywood’s most influential cinema moguls — someone who gets everything easy in life. Actor Vidya Balan, however, says that she has a mind of her own, and does not believe in taking shortcuts.
So, even as she may have often professed her desire to be paired on screen with Shah Rukh Khan, she is clear that she would never ask her husband, producer Sidharth Roy Kapoor, to make a film featuring both SRK and her just to fulfil her wish!
“There is no question of even expecting him to do something like that,” says the 36-year-old, adding, “Forget him; no one else is also doing it (casting her and SRK together). And Siddharth is definitely not going to do it. He doesn’t need to do me any favour just because we’re married!”
Balan, who is known for her critically acclaimed films such as Paa (2009), Ishqiya (2010), The Dirty Picture (2011) and Kahaani (2012), in many of which she overshadowed the male protagonists with her power-packed performances, adds that she’d in fact be more comfortable if her husband didn’t produce any of her films.
“I’ve been an actor before I met Siddharth. I do not expect him to produce all my films. It’s just healthier for our relationship,” says Balan, who is currently shooting for Mohit Suri’s next, which also stars Emraan Hashmi.
