Filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane, who has directed films like Udaan (2010) and Lootera (2013), seems to have no reservations in supporting the ventures of other directors.
After shooting a promotional song for Anurag Kashyap’s next, Bombay Velvet, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, he has now directed another promotional song for director Navdeep Singh’s film, NH10, which also features Anushka.
The song was shot a week ago. "After completing the final schedule of the film, the makers thought that they should have a promotional song as well. The team had completed shooting in May 2014, and during the post-production stage, they came up with the idea. Vikramaditya gave his nod to direct the song after being briefed about the requirements. It was shot in one night," says a source.
The song has been composed by Sanjeev-Darshan and falls in the genre of soft rock. Anushka will be seen in a grunge look in the music video.
When contacted, Vikramaditya confirmed the news, saying, "The concept of the music video has been derived from the core essence of the film. Thus, I wanted the look and feel of the video to be a bit more grungy and slightly away from the usual videos. Anushka has done a fabulous job, considering we finished the song in one night. Hopefully, the audience will like it."
