Speculations are rife about the leading man in Vinod Chopra’s Ferrari Ki Savari. The toss is apparently between Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi with the scales tilting towards the former if he gives the go-ahead. One other name is also in the fray to play the part of a nine-year-old’s father in the Rajesh Maphuskar directed film. But ask Sanjay Dutt about it and he’s quick to retort that there’s been no offer.
May be he has been approached for his Ferrari then? Apparently, Sachin Tendulkar and he are the only proud owners of these hot wheels in the country. “I haven’t been approached for my Ferrari,” he smiles. “But Vinod is family and if he wants my car, he can have it.”
Dutt though is definitely doing the next Munnabhai film. “The script is still being worked on but it should start by next year,” he informs. “I’m really excited. Not only me, people all over the world have been waiting for Munna to return.”
Munna has come to be identified with Dutt despite rumours that Chopra was keen on a younger Munna this time and was likely to cast Ranbir Kapoor or Shahid Kapoor.
However, Dutt insists, “Munna is me, hard on the outside, and soft inside”. Similarly, Circuit has come to be synonymous with Arshad Warsi. Smiles Dutt, “I have many friends but none quite like Circuit.”
