Vir Das to perform live stand-up comedy while seated on a commode

Bollywood actor and comedian Vir Das will soon be performing live stand-up shows while sitting on a commode, as a part of his act

Apart from acting in films and performing at live shows, Vir Das is also known for his rib-tickling videos online. In his latest web series, the comedian takes digs at politicians, current affairs, and more, while seated on a western commode. We are now told that the actor will perform a similar act, as part of his upcoming India tour.

“Vir received a lot of fan mail and several messages on social media, requesting him to incorporate the commode part in his live shows,” says a source.

Vir will be kick-starting the tour in June. He and the members of his band, Alien Chutney, will travel to five cities in India. When contacted, he confirmed the news and said, “I was astonished to see the response that I received from the YouTube version of the commode gig. I used to get requests from people to take the show live. So, I experimented with one show during my US tour, and it received a splendid response.”
