One review made a valid point when it said that the soundtrack needed more time to make an impact, as it was released only two weeks before the film hit theatres. Songs like ‘Main jagoon aksar’ and ‘Ishq mein tere’ have received special mention. Controversies/stunts
According to a report, Ranbir Kapoor’s recent release, Besharam, has presented this film with an opportunity in the form of a larger theatrical release. As Abhinav Singh Kashyap’s directorial venture is not faring well at the box office, several theatres have chosen to assign those screens to smaller films like War Chhod Na Yaar. Marketing/hype
The film is being touted as India’s first war-comedy. However, apart from numerous stories about Soha Ali Khan finishing various schedules of this movie around the country, the film has not created too much buzz.
We understand that the trailer isn’t supposed to give the film away, but this one tells us so little that it’s tough to make up our mind. Since it isn’t really relying on star power to rope in the numbers, we guess we’ll wait for the word of mouth to go around too.
