Was a tomboy, never thought I would get into Bollywood: Pooja Hegde
Actor Pooja Hegde never imagined taking up acting in her earlier years.
Model turned actor Pooja Hegde made her debut alongside actor Hrithik Roshan in the film, Mohenjo Daro, but as surprising as it may sound, she never wanted to be in movies.
‘I never thought I would get into Bollywood because I was such a tomboy and would never touch make up or wear fashionable clothes. I was not the child who would go into her mother’s room and put on lipstick. I would wear boyish clothes and big glasses,” says Hegde who played the role of princess Chaani in the Ashutosh Gowarikar’s directorial.

It was her participation in a beauty contest which changed things for her.
“I was participating in a dance show during college, when the pageant people spotted me. When I took that step in my career, things changed drastically. I only started dressing up in a feminine manner after the pageant. Now here I am in the film industry and I am enjoying everything I am doing,” she says.

“I really want to work with Ranveer Singh. There is something about his energy which is so amazing. Not just Ranveer, I want love to work with even Varun (Dhawan) and definitely with Fawad (Khan) because he is just so hot!” says Hegde.
