Here's another proof why producers don't mind queuing up outside Kareena Kapoor's house to sign her up for their project, even if it is just for one song. Because hers is one one name that almost always translates into big box office draw. In a casting coup of sorts, director Karan Malhotra and producer Karan Johar have signed on Ms Khan for a sizzling number in their upcoming film Brother.
The film, starring Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra in the lead roles, has Kareena as a bar dancer, crooning the number Mary Sau Takka Teri hai.
The song takes its inspiration from Malhotra’s earlier hit Agneepath in which Katrina Kaif was seen dancing on Chikni Chameli. The look and feel of the song is quite urban, but the milieu it represents appears like a small town. The song is composed by Ajay-Atul and is voiced by Chinmayi Sripada.
Brothers is scheduled for release on August 14, 2015.
