We Are Family pushes back release

Karan Johar’s We Are Family’s release date has been changed again. Director Siddharth Mahotra has announced on Twitter that it will release on September 2, Janamashtmi.

Karan Johar’s We Are Family’s release date has been changed again. Siddhath Malhotra’s directorial debut was slated for an Eid release on September 10, but because it was clashing with the release of Salman Khan starrer Dabanng, Johar decided to release it on September 3.

Less than 15 days later, he has now announced that it will release on September 2, Janamashtmi. An excited Malhotra tweeted, “I am so happy that my debut film releases on September 2. It is my grandparent’s anniversary that day. I’ve always believed they blessed me through the making of the film and now no better way or day for me to show them how much they mean to me and are missed.”

Johar confirmed, We Are Family now releases on Thursday the September 2 in India and the UAE. It will release in the rest of the world on September 3."
