Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan were in town the last few days. The pair flew down to unveil a special cover of the film glossy, Stardust. And, they seemed all set to tackle a slew of controversial questions boldly.
Abhishek was also the guest of honour at the recently held CNN IBN Citizen Journalist awards. When asked if he'd attend the IIFA film awards in Toronto, of which his father, Amitabh Bachchan, is no more the brand ambassador, Abhishek said, "An actor needs to focus on making films rather than attending award shows, that's why I haven't been attending too many. If I am free, I will think about it, but my primary focus is movies. If you don't do films, you don't have anything to offer for awards." The actor, however, refused to comment on the his father's disassociation with the event starting this year. "I don't think it's important for me to comment on it."
Actor-wife Aishwarya, too, took no prisoners. When asked about her alleged refusal to perform to the song,
, with Shah Rukh Khan at an awards do, the actor fired back, "I just don't know where all these things come up from. I was already performing that night, as everyone will see once the award show airs, so I obviously didn't turn down the performance."
Abhishek and Aishwarya also brushed aside the question about when they plan to start a family, with a tongue in cheek retort. And with a bunch of laughs, the couple quickly made an exit as fans clamoured to click pictures. Talk about making a grand entry and an even grander exit!
