What feud? Alia Bhatt praises Judwaa 2 and Jacqueline Fernandez
After months of reports that Alia Bhatt’s alleged relationship with Sidharth Malhotra is over thanks to his proximity to Jacqueline Fernandez, the Udta Punjab star has appreciated Judwaa 2 and its actor.
Unlike the previous generation that flaunted differences like trophies, the current crop of Bollywood actors prefer to keep it all cordial. The latest to join this gang of cool professionals is Alia Bhatt. After months of reports that Alia’s alleged relationship with Sidharth Malhotra is over, thanks to his proximity to Jacqueline Fernandez, the Udta Punjab star has tweeted appreciation for Jackie.
As Judwaa 2 hit theatres on September 29, Alia tweeted that she loved the film and also praised Jacqueline’s performance. “#Judwaa2 is everything you imagine it to be and MORE!!! Fun, entertaining, adorable and aptly nostalgic!!@Varun_dvn you are sooooo good!!! And adding to the madness @Asli_Jacqueline and @taapsee totally win you over This ones going to be hugeeeee,” she wrote Friday morning.
Rumours of Sidharth-Alia’s alleged break up have been doing the rounds for a long time. Much like the courtship, the couple have never spoken about their alleged break-up as well. What we can vouch for is that the two haven’t been spotted together for a long time until they attended Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday party at his Mumbai residence on Wednesday night.
Media reports claimed that though Alia and Sidharth were both present at Ranbir’s birthday bash, the duo rarely interacted. India.com even claimed that Karan Johar - mentor to both Alia and Sidharth - tried to patch things up between his “students” but they chose not to listen to him. Hindustan Times could not independently verify the reports.
It must be noted that Varun is a close friend of Alia and they have acted together in a number of films.
