Joining the ranks of Bollywood biker chicks —

Shraddha Kapoor

and

Gul Panag

have famously declared their love for their mean machines — Priyanka Chopra bought herself a pink motorcycle in February.

The actor wanted to take her bike out on the highways near Manali, where she is currently shooting for the biopic on boxer

Mary Kom

, but was dissuaded by her crew.

A source from the sets tells us, "Once Priyanka got to know that she would be shooting in Manali and Dharamsala for over a month, she began making plans to take her bike to the region. She had even started the process of transporting her motorcycle to Manali on a train."

However, Priyanka had to cancel her plans as her crew pointed out potential security concerns.

A friend of the actor says, "Pink is a rare colour for a bike, and it would make Priyanka easy to spot. If people recognised her, she stood the risk of getting mobbed. When her crew pointed this out, she had to cancel her plans of going riding."

Recently, Priyanka was mobbed at a market in Dharamsala.
