Zoya Akhtar has been riding high on her last directorial success, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD, 2011), a film which struck a chord with the youngsters. And now, even after close to two years of the film’s release, Zoya is being invited by colleges across the country to have interactions with the students.

A source close to her says, “She (Zoya) has been invited by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and several other engineering, medical and communication colleges across India to visit the campus as a guest lecturer. They want her to chat with the students since all her movies have had a great youth appeal to them, especially ZNMD.”

The source adds, “Zoya has delivered lectures in many colleges in the past. She loves to interact with young minds. Most youngsters ask her a lot of questions, ranging from how to get into films to how to pursue their choice of careers, and also about her experience on being a female director. They also ask her to share some of her script ideas.”

Ask Zoya about her being invited to these institutes and she says, “I am invited to motivate the youngsters.

But, in reality, today’s generation is bursting with big, innovative ideas and energy. I am so impressed with the kind of ideas I am getting to imbibe from these kids. They are all just so brilliant.”
