Characters in the book wade through dangerous car chases, get locked by a sinister man and find themselves dodging bullets — scenes that sometimes run through as many as five pages. However, the author sketches the scenes so dramatically that it has a cinematic ability, where you can almost ‘see’ it all happening. The characters are realistic and believable and the end unpredictable.
