Two more books have joined the long list of 14 books for the first DSC Prize for South Asian Literature taking the total number of books to 16, a statement issued by the organisers said.



The books are

In Other Rooms, Other Wonders

A World Apart

by Neel Mukherjee.



The prize carries a purse of $50,000.

The shortlist of six books will be announced in October-end at the DSC South Asian Literature Festival in London and the winner at the Jaipur Literature Festival in January 2010.
