Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was one of the most famous books by Roald Dahl.
E-book fans in the U.S. can follow the adventures of Willy Wonka, the Fantastic Mr. Fox and other Roald Dahl creations. Eight novels by the late British children's author are coming out digitally Thursday, on what would have been Dahl's 96th birthday, for the first time in the U.S.

Penguin Young Readers Group announced that the books include "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," ''The Fantastic Mr. Fox" and "James and the Giant Peach."

Dahl died in 1990. More than 25 million of his books are in print in the U.S. alone, according to Penguin.
