Many know that Hrithik Roshan had put on weight for a considerable portion of Guzaarish… but few are aware that the actor shed it all in three weeks. And Roshan’s method has resulted in offers to write a book on the right way to fitness.
Although he was available for comment, his trainer Satyajit Chaurasia, who’s co-authoring the book, confirmed the news. “Hrithik is known to promote good health. And he works religiously to maintain it too,” enthuses Chaurasia.
While he concedes that they haven’t started working on it yet, he affirms that the book will be launched sometime in 2011. “By the end of this year, we’ll have begun working on it and should finish in about three months,” he says.
Chaurasia asserts that the right diet played a major part in Roshan shedding eight kilos of fat and reducing his waist size from 36 inches to 30 inches, despite shoulder and knee injuries.
The celeb fitness expert reveals that Roshan had six to eight meals comprising of egg whites, brown bread, rotis, tandoori chicken, fish, broccoli, stir-fried vegetables and protein shakes every day, albeit in small portions during the three-week period to go from paunchy to sinewy. “Hrithik has been working out regularly for over 10 years now, so muscle formation wasn’t difficult,” he explains.
The actor’s trainer adds, “It’s not necessary to spend hours working out. Even four-to-ten minutes of exercise can help. That’s the concept we’ll be introducing in our book,” states Chaurasia, who is also looking forward to training the actor for the next Krissh movie.
Roshan’s next home production is scheduled to start in June 2011 and Chaurasia maintains that the actor will surpass all that he’s done in his previous films. “The aim is to outdo the last movie. Just bigger biceps won’t look good on screen,” he says.
