Following the panel discussion during a session on Hamlet and Haider, moderator Suhel Seth invited questions from the audience for the panel of speakers which included Vishal Bhardwaj and Basharat Peer.
One of the questions came from Moneeza Hashmi who simply asked Bhardwaj “Why? Why Faiz?” referring to the use of two songs penned by Faiz Ahmad Faiz in the movie.

She then stunned the audience and the panel by revealing that she was the daughter of the great Pakistani poet himself. A humbled Bhardwaj responded with "who else" and proceeded to quote a few lines of Faiz’s poetry adding, "who else can write like this?"
As the audience saw Hashmi break down, Bhardwaj went on to say, “Had he been alive, he would've written the entire movie itself.”
